At Emirates NBD’s Hyde Park Corner offices, London, the brief was to bring genuine luxury to the executive suite on the top floor – not just visually, but underfoot. We were commissioned to source four bespoke rugs across the CEO office, staff and client prayer room, and lounge.
Comfort was the driving requirement throughout, particularly for the prayer room, where shoes are removed before use – the rug needed to be genuinely plush and soft underfoot, not just luxurious to look at. We carried that same standard through the CEO office and reception, using Luxe rugs in a wool and bamboo blend, giving longevity and sustainability alongside a subtle shimmer from the bamboo content.

The blue-grey L8 colourway was chosen to complement the furniture across all three settings, tying the executive floor together with a single considered palette.
This project shows how the right material choice and genuine attention to comfort can turn a practical requirement — soft flooring for a barefoot prayer room — into a considered, luxurious feature running consistently through an entire executive floor.
The CEO put it best: “The rugs are perfect and luxurious for our prayer room” – and tested the pile himself, shoes off, on the spot.
